There are going to be so many things going on in your life with baby that you will forget all about yourself
so I have decided to add some fun tricks and hints that you can do just for your self and baby to make things a little nicer for you.
If you have fruit and oats you have face masks they are a fun and wonder thing to-do just because you can
I will put up different receipts that you can make simple easy and fast.
And a lovely oil and sugar scrub for mum and baby that you gently rub over there skin when the plaster comes off as its so dry .
Or mums and dads can use this on there hands and feet if they are hot and tired.
Make your own lavender oils for the bath to help baby sleep and makes there skin smell and look great again great for the whole family.
I was also asked by one mum if there where any fast meal ideas as sometimes she just doesn’t have the time and everyone is hungry and baby wont settle.
I love to cook and I am pleased to help out with this along with anyone else who has handy hints and tips to help everyone get on track and. stay there.
As promised heres the first recipets
Sugar and Oil scrb
Take 2 tables Sugar
Add 3 tables of olive oil
Mix well gentaly rubt this over the skin then rince off DO NOT SCRUB babies or soft skin just rub
Do not use soap this will wash all the oils out just rince and the skin will be soft and shiny.
Here’s one for mums and dads
Avocado face mask
Take one avocado and mash and 1/2 teaspoon olive oil
Rub this on to your face with a small paint brush
Have two warm cotton pads place on eyes and lay back for 20 mins and relax
This will help the skin feel relaxed and cooling.
If you have oily Skin takes away the oil and add 2 teaspoons of lemon juice.
This will give you skin a wonderful boost
Well I am so proud I made focaccia bread with garlic and herb then I filled it with chicken, steak, spinach and cream cheese with cucumber and red onion then added spinach and omg it was good.
This is a Hugh time saver and a great meal
If you don’t want to make the bread just buy a loaf of Focaccia
works just as well.
Focaccia Bread
Thank one pkt of yeast and 1 cup (tea cup) of warm water dissolve yeast
Add 3 cups (tea cup) flour mix until smooth
leave in bowl for 10 mins doesn’t matter if its longer
Then remove from bowl place on baking tray press out to flat using your
knuckles press dents into the dough sprinkle with olive oil be generous
then sprinkle with flakes salt and garlic and herb salt.
You can also add olives if you like my family wont eat them.
allow to rise to double high again then bake for 15 to 20 mins in a preheated oven
220 when you put the loaf into the oven turn it down to 170
Cucumber and red onion cream cheese
take one tube of cream cheese
dice cucumber into small pieces
do the same with the red onion
When your bread is ready fill with what ever meats and veg you fancy eat and enjoy.
As the weather keeps changing faster then any one can keep up with it there are a few colds and flu’s going around so I though that I would give you my wonderful cough medicine this is great for both Adults and young babies
Home Made Cough Medicine
Take one large onion skin and all chop into piece any size
Cover with 2 -4 tablespoons of brown sugar cover it glad wrap
and place in hot water cupboard it will form a juice
This is what you drink 1 teaspoon for babies 1 table spoon for adults
This will help break down any chest infections it really works.
But remember if your baby or you are sick for more then 24 hours or you think
There is something wrong get it checked by your doctor.
If you are feeling a little Blue
Try Vitamin B6 this is a wonderful thing and can be used while breast feeding
Again ask your doctor about it.
I have also been asked about different oils I will list them and how to make them
Shortly as these are also easy and cheap and wonderful to have around the house
Some are for cooking some are for bathing.
Feeling down
Place 12 to 16 lemon leaves into your bath while hot water is running lemon makes a
Refreshing bath and helps pick up your mood.
Massage
Massage is a lovely way to make both you and baby feel better its easy to do and it does not have to be an expensive exercise you can use any vegetable oil or canola oil.
Use soft motion to rub babies skin and pull your hands out wards so if it’s the legs gently pull your hands down towards the feet if it’s the shoulders or legs pull gently down towards the hands.
You can massage all over the body its soft gentle movements baby will love it.
And when your done massaging baby you can get your partner to do the same for you.
